Vendor Contracts and Disputes

I’m ready to hire DailyGC™ now.

A vendor is someone who is selling or renting to you any of the materials, merchandise, parts, supplies, services, equipment or anything else that you need to run your business. Most of the non-payroll checks that you write are to your vendors.

Problems with vendors arise all of the time in all kinds of settings; maybe the item arrived late, or was defective, or in some other way just did not meet what was promised or what you expected. This can lead to a dispute with your vendor. Most commonly, vendor disputes are the result of misunderstandings, but they are legal in nature and can have severe economic consequences. If you are withholding payment to a vendor over a dispute, and the vendor reports the nonpayment to a credit reporting agency, it can hurt your company’s credit rating.

Small businesses cannot afford to spend time and energy on vendor disputes. When a vendor presents you with a contract to sign, a small business lawyer from DailyGC™ will work with you to clarify terms, protect your rights and minimize the likelihood of a dispute. And if you have a dispute with a vendor, we will review it with you, evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of your position, and advise you on a productive course for resolving it quickly. We’ll also show you ways to avoid vendor disputes in the future.
